|Wine: ALFRED GRATIEN CHAMPAGNE BRUT ROSÉ NV|
|Variety: Chardonnay / Pinot Meunier / Pinot Noir|
|Region: Epernay / Champagne|
|Tasting Note: The colour is reminiscent of rose petals. Tiny bubbles build to an attractive mousse. Initial aromas are of red-fruit (strawberries and redcurrants) and summer flowers. A biscuity, wheaty nose is followed by hints of crème fraiche, with hints of more roasted nutty flavours. A clean slightly linear palate opens up to structured layers that combines acids, tannins and a gentle fruit sweetness. Everything fits like a glove, textures are wonderful, and the finish is long with an underlying core of minerality.
I love this champagne, it is very giving and easy to drink – somewhat more-ish. If you love rosé champagne, you will not regret grabbing this one.
