From the Strathbogie Ranges, a cloudy wine but this has zero impact on taste. God what a beautiful wine! With a melon and pine frond nose it evolves into a creamy palate packed with flavour. Banana & pear notes balanced with melons and grapefruit pith. There is also a nutty nougat like creaminess that just makes this wine even better. Acids are virtually hidden, this is a balanced and soft wine.
If you like old school chardonnay then this is definitely worth looking at, 100% Malolactic ferment offers that traditional creaminess then a fair whack of oak is used but so well integrated you will be asking where?
If you like the current modern style of chardonnay, also have a look as this is so well integrated that you might surprise yourself.
Definitely one of my favourite Chardonnays tasted in the last twelve months.
Grab some you will not regret it.
