If you like Pinot Noir and you are not drinking this wine then you are making a mistake. More of a nod towards Burgundy than Beaujolais this Gamay will have you thinking you are drinking Central Otago Pinot Noir.
A cracking little red, chilled over ice for Summer and you need to look no further.
The nose is bright red fruit full of crushed cranberries, raspberries, red cherries and black cherries against a backdrop of vanilla and white spices. The palate is elegant soft and silky, Pinot-esque with lush gamey notes, red plums, red cherries and raspberry jam. A pretty wine with many layers of flavour and textures that integrate well with the very fine tannins. A great finish which will have you reaching for the next glass. No food match is necessary, it will be finished before dinner!
