The Daosa Natural Reserve NV. What a freaking amazing wine! Possibly one of the best NV sparklers on the market right now (Arras who…?). Using 90% 2016 Pinot Noir and 10% 2015 Chardonnay from the Piccadilly Valley, the Natural Reserve is complex and full of flavour. A nose of lemons, green apples and brioche delights followed by a seductive palate which is biscuity and textural with a soft creamy bead. Flavours of green apples, more brioche and flat lemonade just roll on and on until the next sip. At $37 it definitely punches above its weight. A beautiful wine that is great as a quaffer – who needs champagne?
