From the Mansfield region of Yarra Valley, it has a great nose – offering struck match & nectarine. There are other notes of oaky nuttiness and florals but the nectarine dominates. The palate is gorgeous, a broad offering of grapefruit and yellow nectarine…its really quite rich. On tasting I felt that it needed to open up a little but half an hour on a table should do. There is great balance in this wine, wonderful textures and soft acids provide a great finish and good length. Very yummy if you are a fan of well made chardonnay don’t overlook this one. It sells very quickly.
