This is the most pristine Chardonnay I have ever tried, the nose offers creamy lavender, lanolin, elderflower & nectarines with mealy almondy notes and vague hints of grapefruit. Enough to be seductive and draw you in.
The palate will blow your mind, to start so very lean and pristine presenting that chalky minerality a la Chablis, then at the mid palate an explosion of flavours and an evolution into a "proper" Margaret River Chardonnay occurs with an onslaught of white peaches, apricots, elderberries and cashew butter. There is this wonderful hint of orange - like someone put orange juice in an atomiser and spritzed your tongue. This is a wine for the ages, totally in balance with the right amount of oak and acid. The only regret you will ever have about this wine is not having more!
In short supply, get some while there is some.
