Lightfoot & Sons Pinot Noir Shiraz:
Based on the original Hunter River Reds of the 70's, this is a 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Shiraz - showcasing the elegance, savoury spice and refinement of the Pinot against the ripe juicy plumpness of the Shiraz. A ripping juicy blend of red blue and black fruit. Deliciously more-ish.
Giant Steps Light Dry Red:
Yarra Valley Wine Show - Trophy for Best Other Reds, 96 Points
Perfumed light elegant and savoury Pinot against soulful, sinewy spicy Syrah. A combination of Cherries and Plums, where one stops and the other starts...anyone's guess. Fruit and spice come to the fore, this wine is gluggable or guzzleworthy - your choice.
Golden Child Wines "Lazy Sunday" Light Red:
50/50 Pinot Noir /Syrah. This is a gorgeous wine it smells like a cool climate Syrah with loads of red fruit and spices, cherries, plums, raspberries & pepper. It is beautiful, rich but delicate. More red plums, raspberries blending with chalky tannins... It's mouth filling and mouth coating, cleaned up at the finish by crisp acid. OMG WOW...I finally understand light red as a style.
