Tim Smith Wines Bugalugs Grenache is the kind of Grenache you recommend to someone who isn't familiar with Grenache but wants to get an idea before spending big bucks.
Did I mention there is 7% Mataro? It adds a nice roundness to the strcuture of the wine. The nose offers black cherries, vanilla, raspberry and blueberry, the palate is beautifully integrated with just the right amount of acid to cleanse but not impede and the tannins while holding everything together...remain hidden. Flavours of blackberry, raspberry blueberry dance across the palate.
Like I said a good wine and a great reference point for how good Barossa Grenache can be.
